Recruitment 101

• How do I know which sorority basket I am supposed to buy? This is the most asked question!

• We take care of everything for you. As a top-tier recruitment sponsor Homestead Design receives the matched bid list, which tells us which sorority your PNM is receiving a bid from, in the very early morning hours on Bid Day. We fill your basket order (Greek for Life, Totally Greek, or Go Greek Basket) and deliver to all the houses before Bid Day begins.

• How do I get a gift delivered to my PNM’s new sorority house on Bid Day?  

• Order from Homestead Design. We are a top-tier U of A Recruitment Sponsor, allowing us exclusive access to the sorority houses to deliver your Bid Day Basket before the Bid Day activities start at the Greek Theatre. We are so fortunate that the University of Arkansas has a program that allows top-tier sponsors exclusive, early access to the sorority houses to deliver your gifts before Bid Day begins.

• Do you charge extra for delivery to the sorority houses before Bid Day at the Greek Theatre starts? 

• No. Sorority house delivery is included in your Bid Day Basket purchase.  

• Can you tell me which sorority my PNM matches with to make logistics easier for our family?

• I am so sorry, but we are not allowed to let anyone know details of the bid list. The excitement in the Greek Theatre as thousands of PNMs open their bids is amazing! We wouldn’t want to spoil that for your PNM, or for you.

• What happens if my PNM withdraws from recruitment, or no longer has invitations from the houses to continue recruitment before Bid Day? 

• If either of these scenarios occur for your PNM email us at susangroys@gmail.com as quickly as possible, before bid day. We will refund your money. It’s the right thing to do. We try to process those requests immediately. Sometimes the payment being sent by you, and transferred to Homestead Design, is still in the process when the decision is made to no longer participate in recruitment. If that happens, we will check the accounts several times per day so we can refund your money as quickly as possible. If you have a questions or concern email me.

• What happens if my PNM doesn’t receive a bid?  First, I know recruitment week can be full of nerves for everyone. If your PNM goes through recruitment, and does not appear on the bid list, we will not deliver a basket, and please email us at susangroys@gmail.com as soon as possible.  We will refund your money. It’s the right thing to do.

• Is it really “a thing” to buy a Bid Day Basket? Do many PNMs receive Bid Day Baskets?

• Yes! 

• The sorority houses have large, dedicated areas for the priority Bid Day Basket deliveries with assigned sorority members to make sure everything goes smoothly. They are waiting for us to deliver your PNM’s basket. When my daughter went through recruitment, I had a friend who explained how the Bid Day Baskets work at UA. I was so glad she did! We will deliver your basket to your PNM’s new house and after our delivery the sorority is in charge. We don’t go back into the houses but the sororities are so efficient and have so many members and alums working the bid day basket area. If your PNM has an issue they will help her. It is one of the most wonderful days and a day that can be a bit overwhelming for everyone.

• Are the T-shirts and shorts “sized”? Yes, they are. We stock T-shirts and shorts in small, medium, large, and extra-large sizes. We do our very best to ensure you receive the size you request for your PNM. We fill basket orders beginning with our Greek for Life, followed by Totally Greek, and finish up with our Go Greek basket. Should we ever run out of a size we will size up, not down. For example a small would receive a medium if we ran out of the small size.
